Magufuli President receives notice of construction of oil pipeline from Uganda to the port of Tanga.

Vice President of the Company Total East Africa Mr. Javiero Rielo has assured the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. John Beer Magufuli been preparing for the start of construction of oil pipeline from Hoima in Uganda to the port of Tanga in Tanzania are progressing well and that the company is determined to ensure the project is implemented successfully.
Mr. Javiero Rielo said yesterday that on August 24, 2016 State House in Dar es Salaam when he met with President Magufuli aiming to give information on the progress of preparations for the start of construction of an oil pipeline.
The project will involve the construction of a pipeline with a length of 1,410 kilometers that largest miner will crude oil from Lake Albert in Uganda to the Port of Tanga in Tanzania and is expected to generate direct employment of 1,500 jobs direct non-20,000.
Cost of the project for the construction of the pipeline is expected to be approximately US $ 4 billion company Total says these funds are ready.
Speaking after receiving the notice, the President Magufuli has said he believes the project will be of great benefit to Tanzania, Uganda, company Total and its neighboring countries.
He reveals that although Tanzania is located in the beautiful surroundings of the project, his Government would provide greater cooperation in order to achieve the project.
In another development, President Magufuli has received credentials from three ambassadors who are representing their countries in the country.
Ambassadors who presented their papers Hon. Ian Myles - Ambassador of Canada in Tanzania, Hon. Prasittiporn Wetprasit - Ambassador of Thailand in the country with his residence in Nairobi in Kenya and Hon. Harald Gunther - Ambassador of Austria in the country with his residence in Nairobi in Kenya.
With the submission of their documents of identity Ambassadors they have expressed their appreciation for relationships and good cooperation between their countries and Tanzania and have promised to work shoulder to shoulder with the Government of Tanzania to the citizens of mutual benefit and result of such cooperation, especially in investment and trade .
For his part, President Magufuli has assured the Ambassadors them that his government will continue to promote greater cooperation between Tanzania and the country and has urged the ambassadors they persuade more countries and their investors in those countries to cooperate with Tanzania in the construction industry, adding value to minerals, develop agriculture, especially irrigation, energy production and various businesses.
Magufuli president also has called for Ambassadors of Thailand and Austria to establish the office of the Embassy in order to simplify and accelerate the diplomatic activities.
